Shinsegae International expands its perfume portfolio with new perfume brands.

 

Shinsegae International announced that it will assume exclusive domestic distribution of Courrèges Perfumes, the perfume line of Courrèges, a French luxury fashion house, and begin sales this month. With the launch of the perfume line, following the Courrèges fashion launched last September, it will be introducing the full lineup of Courrèges in Korea.

 

Previously, Shinsegae International launched French niche perfume HEELEY in June, Italian luxury fragrance CULTI in July, and Italian beauty brand DOLCE&GABBANA BEAUTY in September, quickly securing a total of four new perfume brands this year alone.

 

With this, Shinsegae International completed a lineup of 12 perfume brands, including Diptyque, Byredo, Santa Maria Novella, and Memopari, and built an unrivaled brand portfolio in the perfume market.

 

Courrèges Perfumes, launched this time, is a brand that quickly became a legendary perfume representing haute couture when designer André Courrèges launched his first perfume called Empreinte in 1971, ten years after launching his fashion brand.

 

Courrèges Perfumes is better known for its unique bottle design. The perfume container designed by André Courrèges has a simple and sleek exterior with the engraving of the brand's representative 'AC' logo. It has become Courrèges' iconic design and has been famous since the launch of its first perfume.

 

The Colorama collection, introduced with the brand, inherited Courrèges Perfumes’s unique design. All three-dimensional, delicately carved containers were manufactured in France, using up to 40% recycled glass.

 

It is characterized by its inspiration from the color and texture of Courrèges' representative vinyl jacket. It introduces the concept of 'perfume styling,' which combines fashion and perfume through seven scents.

 

The pink ‘La Fille de l’Air’ is a global best-selling product that expresses femininity with the floral scent of neroli and the fruity aroma of orange blossom. The white ‘Slogan’ says the scent of a pounding heart, and the deep red ‘Emprante’ is a modern reconstruction of the chypre scent of Enfrante, the brand’s first perfume.

 

In addition, the lineup includes the blue ‘Le Messager,’ which expresses the scent of a lover’s love letter, and the black ‘C,’ which creates a pure, comforting scent by adding the scent of jasmine to clean laundry. All fragrances are genderless, can be used by both men and women and smell differently depending on the user.

 

Starting this month, it will be available at La Perva shops and Shinsegae International's digital platform, S.I.VILLAGE. It will also be sold at Courrèges shops in the future.

 

A Shinsegae International official said, “We will quickly introduce globally popular brands into the domestic market and build up unrivaled competitiveness in the perfume market.”
