Courrèges opens an exclusive store in Shinsegae Centum City

French luxury fashion house Courrèges, which is imported and sold by Shinsegae International, announced that it will open an exclusive store in Shinsegae Department Store Centum City on the 29th of this month. It is the second exclusive store in Korea following Shinsegae Gangnam.
Courrèges is a luxury brand founded in Paris, France in 1961 by designer André Courrèges, and has been enjoying its second heyday since the appointment of its artistic director Nicolas Di Felice in 2020. While inheriting the history and tradition of the brand, it has gained great popularity among the MZ generation around the world with its modern and sophisticated sensibility.
Courrèges operates a total of 10 stores around the world, including Paris, France, where the brand is based, as well as the United States and Korea. It is pursuing a high-end strategy of opening stores only in fashion centers in each country, such as the Marais district in Paris and Soho in New York, and in Asia, it operates only one store in Korea.
Shinsegae Department Store's Centum City branch, where Courrèges is located, was the first department store outside of Seoul to achieve annual sales of 2 trillion won last year. In addition to having a large number of major luxury brands, the young fashion specialty store ‘Hyperground’ and the ‘New Contemporary specialty store’ gained great popularity, attracting demand from not only Busan but also surrounding regions and foreign tourists, establishing itself as the largest luxury shopping space in the region.
Courrèges' strategy is to further strengthen its domestic business by increasing contact with young local customers by opening a store in Centum City.
At this store, you can find major products such as shoes, bags, jewelry, and perfume, focusing on Courrèges' 2024 fall/winter season collection, which features a geometric silhouette, all in one place.
A simple yet sophisticated space was created around the the brand’s unmistakable design codes: heritage white color, mirrored walls,and minimalist design fixtures, to highlight Courrèges' unique designs and creations. Modular mirror panels in the window evoke the inside of a disco ball, while furniture and railings in tone-on-tone white create a serene atmosphere.
Special events will be held to commemorate the opening of the store. Until the 31st, we have prepared special customer benefits that stand out in the sophisticated sense of the brand, for adding the Courrèges Kakao Talk channel and signing up for membership of Courrèges’ official online store in Korea, which opened on August 13, and will present tote bags to customers who purchased the product.
An official of Shinsegae International Courrèges said, “We are expanding our contact points with customers by opening stores one after another in key domestic commercial districts and opening an official online store specialized in Korea. We plan to provide a special brand experience for Courrèges both online and offline.”
