- 10-year contract with imported brand is exceptional, maintained a partnership for over 20 years
- Expand business area to tennis and skiwear this year, starting from golf wear

Shinsegae International announced that it would extend its exclusive right and license contract with a lifestyle brand J.LINDEBERG for another 10 years and expand its business area to ski wear following golf and tennis.
It has built brand awareness as a golf brand over the past 10 years, and it aims at promoting its true qualities as a sports fashion house for the next 10 years.
J.LINDEBERG is a fashion brand founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1996, and has established itself as a world-class brand featuring a modern and sensuous design and functionality of sportswear. It currently runs stores in 35 countries worldwide including Sweden, New York, and Japan.
J.LINDEBERG has been growing rapidly in the golf wear market since it entered the Korean market in 2011 under a contract with Shinsegae International. Last year, sales revenue increased by 62% year on year, and it became one of top golf brands in major department stores in Korea.
Sinsegae International and J.LINDEBERG had renewed a contract on a five-year basis, but they have agreed to extend the contract for 10 years to 2032, based on their long-established trust.
The area for sales right has also expanded not only to golf but also tennis and ski wear. J.LINDEBERG has become famous for premium golf wear in Korea, but in Europe, it is best known as a sports fashion house that covers tennis and ski wear.
Shinsegae International started selling J.LINDEBERG tennis collection in August this year, and plans to offer a ski collection from October this year. Debuted in Europe in 2005, ski collection is both functional and fashionable, reflecting the brand philosophy ‘Bridging sports and fashion.’ With growing number of skiers from last winter, the demand for premium skiwear is also expected to increase.
Shinsegae International will open J.LINDEBERG flagship store on the Cheongdam-dong luxury street next year to strengthen its positioning as a premium brand. It plans to firmly establish its identity as a high-end lifestyle brand as standing shoulder to shoulder with luxury brands such as CHANEL, LOUIS VUITTON, and GUCCI.
An official from Shinsegae International said, "It is an exceptional event in the industry to maintain partnerships with overseas fashion brands for more than 20 years," and added, "We will maximize business growth by strengthening partnerships with overseas brands with high growth potential while focusing on discovering a new brand."
